Shetland Ponies Jack & Ralph Visit Lark View

This month, we had very special visitors at our home Jack and Ralph, two delightful therapy Shetland ponies who turned an ordinary morning into something truly magical. Their gentle nature and inquisitive personalities brought countless smiles to the residents of Lark View Care Home.

We are so grateful to our friends at Kent Equine Therapy for making this memorable visit possible. Everyone is still talking about the experience and how uplifting it felt to spend time with these beautiful ponies. Their calm presence and friendly curiosity reminded us how powerful animal companionship can be.
In 2026, studies show that animal therapy in care homes continues to grow, with over 80% of UK facilities now offering regular therapy animal visits to help reduce stress, boost mood and encourage social interaction among residents. Regular visits from animals to care homes can help reduce loneliness within the community by offering this special animal companionship.
We can’t wait to welcome Jack and Ralph back again soon for more laughter, cuddles, and happy memories!
