Our focus revolves around ensuring every resident leads a rich and contented life here at Lark View Care Home. We recognise the significance of meal times and the important role food plays in the lives of our residents. Our aim is to provide residents with a 5-star dining experience, and our skilled chefs work hard to create homemade dishes that are different and have nutritional value, all while accommodating various dietary and cultural requirements.

The preferences and well-being of our residents are important to us, which is why our residents select their preferred mealtime setting, whether it be the communal dining areas or in their personal space.

5-Star Service

At Lark View Care Home, we believe food should be enjoyed as much as it is nourishing. Our kitchen team, led by a dedicated head chef, prepares fresh, seasonal menus that include a daily three-course lunch, a cooked breakfast, and sweet and savoury bakes served throughout the day. Friday fish and chips, Sunday roasts, and fortnightly BBQs are all firm favourites, and there’s always a hot or cold pudding to round off a meal.

Dining here is about connection as much as it is about flavour. Families are welcome to join their loved ones for meals, and our private dining room doubles as a social club for celebrations and special occasions. Whether it’s a themed meal inspired by another country, afternoon tea served with flair, or a birthday cake in a resident’s favourite flavour, we make sure every experience feels personal and joyful.

A Dementia-Friendly Dining Experience

We’re proud to offer a dementia-friendly dining environment where every resident feels supported and included. Specially designed tableware, adapted cutlery, and plate guards are always available, along with textured meals for those who need them. Our team also uses menu photos to help residents make confident choices, with carers on hand to assist whenever needed.

Residents are free to dine wherever they feel most comfortable, whether in the dining rooms, their bedrooms or outdoors when the weather is kind. Snacks and drinks are always available from our trolleys or the hydration station in the kitchenette, so there’s never a need to wait for refreshments. At Lark View, we’ve made every effort to ensure mealtimes are calm, spacious, and centred around each resident’s needs.

At Lark View Care Home, our objective is to simplify and enhance the lives of our residents which is exemplified by our comprehensive weekly fee that covers all aspects of residency without any hidden fees.

On a daily basis, our committed chef and kitchen team provide nothing short of the finest meals and refreshments. With the aim of delivering both nourishing and delicious dishes to our residents, our staff undergoes ongoing training. Employing premium ingredients procured from local sources, we craft a dynamic menu that undergoes regular variations. Additionally, we actively welcome our residents to share with us their favourite meals, enabling us to add their preferences to our menus.

All residents have the freedom to select their preferred dining location. The communal dining areas are open for everyone and residents also have the choice to enjoy their meals in the privacy of their own rooms. For special family gatherings, our private dining room can be used and during favourable weather conditions, outdoor dining is also an option.

Absolutely, we are delighted to offer a special meal along with a cake to celebrate the occasion. Should residents intend to invite friends and family, we are more than happy to coordinate a meal in our exclusive private dining room.
